The group was founded by Assoc. Prof. Alptekin Küpçü in Fall 2010.
Our mission is to advance the state-of-the-art techniques, to educate the public,
governments, and companies about both the techniques used and the outcomes of using them,
and to make sure people demand more security and privacy
since they would be aware that more is possible.
The main areas of interest cover Cryptography, Security, Privacy with applications to:
Cloud Computing, Cloud Storage, Outsourcing, Outsourced Databases, Searchable Encryption,
Blockchains, Cryptocurrency, PKI (public key infrastructure),
Online Social Networks, Privacy-Preserving Personalization and Advertising,
Privacy-Preserving Machine Learning,
Cryptography for EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliance,
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Networks,
Zero Knowledge Proof Systems,
